ADU renderings, built to your plan set
An accessory dwelling unit is sold twice: once to the homeowner who pays for it, and once to the neighbours and the plan checker who have to live with it. Lightframe renders ADUs from the actual plan set, so the unit you show is the unit that gets permitted and built.
Every ADU is modelled to the drawings at true scale, including roof pitches, window and door schedules, and setbacks. The yard is planted with the drought-tolerant species Los Angeles reviewers expect, and the sun is set to a real latitude and time of day. The same model then produces a golden-hour exterior, a lit dusk view and an interior, and finish options without starting over.

- Yes. Pre-approved standard plans are a good fit: we model the plan set as drawn, then show it with your chosen finishes and landscaping on a representative lot.
- What do you need to start an ADU rendering?
- The plan set as PDF or CAD (floor plan, elevations and sections), a finish list or mood references, and the lot address or a site plan so the orientation and neighbours are right.
- How long does an ADU rendering take?
- Most ADU sets of three to four views take about a week from approved plans, with a clay preview of every camera within the first few days.
- Can I see different exterior finishes?
- Yes. Finish changes are material swaps on the same model, so siding, stucco, roof and trim options can be compared side by side quickly.
