Studio

Pictures that sell buildings and settle arguments.

Lightframe is an architectural visualization studio in Los Angeles. We work with home builders, developers, architects and interior designers who need images a buyer, a lender or a planning board will believe.

Led by

Rob Cornell, art director.

Fifteen years directing motion, 3D and marketing imagery for game studios including Blizzard, Ubisoft and NCSoft, where the job was the same as it is here: make an unbuilt thing look real enough to want. Lightframe applies that craft, and a scripted 3D pipeline, to architecture.

Lightframe produces visualization and illustration for projects designed by licensed architects, designers and builders. We do not provide architectural or engineering services.

How we work

Measured, not traced

Every image is built from a scale model of the drawings. If a buyer paces it out on site, it will match.

Art direction first

Camera, light and composition are decided like a film frame, not a default viewport. That is what makes people stop scrolling.

Speed through tooling

A scripted pipeline handles import, scene assembly, render passes and delivery, so time goes into the picture rather than the plumbing.

Built for revisions

One model drives every still, film and walkthrough, so a changed finish or a moved window updates every view instead of starting over.
